The US taxi celebrates its centenary at New York this week with a display of the ‘green’ yellow cabs of tomorrow. The rank gathered by The Design Trust for Public Space for its Taxi ’07 display include a lithium-battery powered taxi from Hybrid Technologies, and the world’s fastest taxi. This hydrogen-burning 1000hp Crown Victoria has a projected top speed of 200mph, for Wall Street traders who really can't hang around.
It's official: The new 2014 Mazda 6 sedan is getting a diesel engine for the U.S. market. Finally coming clean on one of the worst-kept secrets of the year, Mazda officially announced the Skyactiv-D version of the Mazda 6 at the Los Angeles Auto Show yesterday.
The seven-passenger 2014 Dodge Durango will start at $30,790 when it arrives on dealership lots next month. That’s the same price as last year, but buyers will get a little bit more. Standard features now include an eight-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, Uconnect Bluetooth, a 5-inch Uconnect touchscreen, 7-inch customizable gauge cluster and signature Dodge brand LED racetrack taillights.
